Last year a group of Canadians traveled to Social Capital Markets 2009 (SoCap09) and enjoyed a half-day workshop and evening reception, as well as private briefings throughout the conference itself.

Social Capital Markets has emerged as the world’s preeminent conference dedicated to the topic of social finance. It brings together the field’s leading thinkers and practitioners from across North America and abroad.

We are taking advantage of this opportunity by inviting attendees from Canada to a dinner at a local San Francisco restaurant with special guests (TBD) on the evening of October 4th, and a half-day networking and learning event on the morning of October 6th (during a portion of the "unconference" segment of SoCap10).

Participants in Canada Day @ SoCap10 will include a cross-section of government, finance, philanthropy, and social enterprise professionals.

Registration includes breakfast, refreshments, dinner at a local San Francisco restaurant, the meeting space, event facilitation, and applicable taxes. All fees are non-refundable. To register for Canada Day @ SoCap10, payment in full needs to be received on or before September 15, 2010. (Update: We have extended the registration deadline to October 3rd at 11:55pm PT.)

Each delegate is responsible for organizing and paying for:

• Social Capital Markets 2010 registration fees - Use SOFINANCECA for a 30% discount on registration prior to August 31st, and a 20% discount thereafter through September 30th.
• Airfare to and from in San Francisco as well as accommodation.
